Another long-forgotten band from the days before video – their label, Too Pure, were presumably too poor to do a video for this, though the other side ‘Hollywood Gem‘, did. Maybe they couldn’t get Mark E Smith to appear on camera, his presence presumably pushing it towards #10 in the Festive 50 for 1995.
However, they’re not all about their Fall connection, you should check out third album Amelia, which also has a batch of non-moving pictures available for your listening pleasure.
For the full LFK experience you can also have a read at Luke Sutherland’s books, Jelly Roll is a harrowing classic. Sutherland himself is more elusive, he appeared on RM Hubbert‘s Thirteen Lost and Found album, but was a no-show for the launch show at Stereo (and similarly absent – snowed in in Paris – for Jer Reid’s Winter Cycle a couple of Christmases ago).
