So, this is at times becoming like a grab-bag of Scottish music legends… and I’m trying not to go for the most obvious tunes. Of course, that means that we’re often struggling to find a decent quality version of a tune that’s accompanied by a scuzzy video.

This is no exception. At the time it was one of a fine run of Skids singles, though maybe overlooked at the arse end of their chart career. It was reborn, for me, at the Homecoming show at the SECC, thanks to the addition of a gospel choir.

Sadly, the footage of that on Youtube is fairly disappointing (the choir being largely invisible, and inaudible in the muddy handheld camera sound).

So instead, a scuzzy video (from a telly show – any suggestions?) – but still quite probably from handheld camera) from the time of the single’s release.
