The day job to be honest doesn’t offer much in the way of subverting the nation’s musical tastes.
Unless, of course, no-one is looking… at which point I can occasionally ensure that reviews of the toppermost Scots indie acts can get their reviews into the papers. (The words are usually sourced from the Press Agency, so it’s more likely to be Glee soundtracks and Shirley Bassey compilations, but not always…)
Here’s an Errors review from Leader South (which covers Kirkcaldy – 40,000 circulation)

And this is The Unwinding Hours (my words this time), which somehow ended up in Leader North and the Herald and Post too – 100,000 potential readers.
N.B. I said “potential” (though they do eat a lot of fish’n'chips in Anstruther…)
