Fest
Fest was (is?) as its name suggests, one of those (free) listings magazine that appear in Edinburgh during the festival. Pretty good coverage of music given that the EF isn’t really about music – though I would say that as they decided that having me doing a column was a good idea.
They also ran an annual football match – ‘Critics Versus Comedians’ – which meant that the likes of myself (though not actually writing about comedy) was able to team up alongside The List’s Mark Robertson, freelancer Malcolm Jack, and The Herald’s Edd McCracken, taking on the likes of Omid Djalili, Lucy Porter and (unlikely thought it might sound) Adam Hills.
