This is from 1997 or thereabouts, certainly that was the year that this track snuck into John Peel’s Festive 50.
I’m not actually sure what my favourite Goldfish song would be, but this will do nicely.

Scottish Song of the day (35): St Jude’s Infirmary
Someone said the other day that this lot had reformed for a one-off show. If that’s the case I shall be very annoyed indeed.
There’s surprisingly few videos online of the Edinburgh/Fife/Holland 4/5/6 piece – I would have chosen ‘Church of John Coltrane’, but the only one I can find is of one I made myself at Tigerfest with attendant dodgy sound. So this is actually the one most people know them for given that its subject was involved to the extent that they got themselves on the 6 o’clock news and the like.
